Downstream equipment includes de-sulfurization units that reduce melting temperatures and SO2 emissions, blast furnaces with 95% lead recovery rates, rotary furnaces for paste reduction, and lead refinery kettle furnaces capable of producing 99.999% pure lead. For lithium-ion batteries, the recycling plant breaks and separates waste batteries to recover black mass (containing nickel, cobalt, and graphite), plastic separator film, copper, and aluminum.
