Wet separation uses water gravity tables. It costs more to operate but handles complex materials—like cables with heavy insulation or circuit boards with components—that dry systems struggle with. Bottom line: If you process standard copper or aluminum cable, dry separation is usually the smarter investment. If your feedstock is mixed, coated, or contaminated, wet separation pays for itself in higher recovery.
