Confirm separation technology and purity rates. Dry air separation is faster and avoids wastewater treatment, but wet separation can achieve higher copper purity for certain cable types. Ask for documented purity rates: 96-98% copper powder is achievable with modern air-and-electrostatic combined systems.
Inspect the frame and welding quality. The machine body should be built from thickened steel plate with reinforced stress points. Poor welding leads to vibration, noise, and structural fatigue. Request photos of the internal frame before shipment, not just the finished paint.
Verify adjustment flexibility. Blade gaps, screen apertures, and airflow must be adjustable to match your actual feedstock. A machine locked to one configuration will struggle when your supplier delivers a different cable mix.
Demand clarity on after-sales support. A one-year warranty is standard, but the critical question is parts availability. Can the supplier ship blades, screens, and bearings within days, or will you wait weeks while copper prices fluctuate?
